TINT Extension (Chrome and Safari)

For Chrome: you can download the Chrome Extension here or go to the Chrome Extension store and simply search TINT, to find us. 

Once installed you can access the extension in Chrome in the upper right-hand corner of your browser window.

For Safari: Go to Safari, click on menu bar > Safari > Safari Extensions ... A popup window will appear and search for TINT user-generated content and you will be able to install the extension.   

When you log into the TINT Extension, you are given three options:

• Search TikTok - Use TikTok to get videos into your TINT board
• Search Instagram - Use Instagram to request rights to content there
• View Assets - you can view your existing assets within the TINT Extension

How to use TINT Extension for TikTok

To import TikTok videos onto your TINT board:

1. Click on Search TikTok which will take you to the TikTok website
2. Check which TINT board you are on before you select a post
3. To change which TINT board your chosen videos end up on, click on change TINT board in the right hand corner
4. Select the TINT board you want
5. Click the arrow back to take you back to the select a post option
6. Find a video you want to select 
7. Click on the video
8. Click on Add Video to TINT
9. This will add a feed to your TINT board called Browser Extensions and you will find your video there

How to request right via TINT Extension for Instagram

How to Request Rights to a post on Instagram

1. Click on Search Instagram which will take you to the Instagram website
2. Check which TINT board you are on before you select a post
3. To change which TINT board your chosen videos end up on, click on change TINT board in the right hand corner
4. Select the TINT board you want
5. Click the arrow back to take you back to the select a post option
6. Click on Request Rights 

7.  You will see the following:

   STEP 1: POST FROM/Select a sub account: Choose which account you want to do the rights request from. This is so it links back to the post and updates it automatically when the post author accepts the request.

   Step 2: Choose a saved comment: We have a few pre-populated comments to choose from and any custom comment you have saved but unlike in the TINT Editor, you won’t be able to do a custom comment from here.  If you want to do a custom message go back to the TINT editor, follow the instructions above and come back to your post on Instagram.

   STEP 3: Terms & conditions: Click in your T&Cs.  If it appears as no option, again you won’t be able to add the Terms and Conditions from here.  Go back to the TINT Editor, follow the instructions above to add the T&Cs and come back to your post on Instagram.

8. Click Submit and you will get the option to Copy Comment. 
9. Then go to your author’s comment section and copy the comment. 
10. Now you just need to wait for your author to reply.

You can view your pending requests via the TINT Extension by clicking on View Pending Requests.
