Zapier Integration

How to connect Zapier in TINT

1. Click on the account at the top right
2. Click on Team Settings
3. Click on Integrations
4. Click +Add
5. Find Zapier and click on it
6. This will open Zapier.  If you haven't got an account, sign up.  If you do, sign in.  This will invite to add Zapier and will put TINT as an option to pick inside Zapier

How to use Zapier with TINT

The options for Zapier and TINT are endless.  To get started:

1. In Zapier, click on Create a Zap
2. Either search for TINT or TINT will be in your apps, select this as your trigger
3. For the TINT trigger, you have will have 3 options: 
   Social Account Updated: Triggers when a social account is updated including its status changes
   Form Submission Created: Triggers when a new form submission is created
   Post Created: Triggers when a public post, email or SMS post is created
4. Depending on what you choose, the Zap itself will be different.

For example, say you would like to be notified when a public post, email or SMS post comes through with the word kitten in the text and you want that information to go into a Google Sheet.

1. In Zapier, click on Create a Zap
2. Either search for TINT or TINT will be in your apps, select this as your trigger
3. Pick Post Created: Triggers when a public post, email or SMS post is created
4. Click Continue
5. This will take you to the Account section to link your TINT account.  If already there, you will be able to pick from the dropdown list.  If not, you will need to connect your account.
6. Click Continue
7. This will take you to the Trigger section.  
8. Choose your team
9. Click Continue
10. This will take you to test your Trigger.  Click Test Trigger.  It will either say that it found a post or hasn't.  If you have no public, email or SMS posts in your TINT boards, then this will be correct that it has found nothing.
11. Click Continue
12. This will take you the Action section of the Zap.  Here you will choose another application.  In this case, it will be the Filter by Zapier as we want to filter it by the keyword, for example, kitten. Select this.
13. Here you will choose your selection on how to filter.  In this case, Text, (Text) Contains, the example keyword kitten
14. Click Continue
15. This tests this section of the Zap and you should see, that the Zap will continue.  If you have no results with the word with your chosen keyword, it will tell you but you can still continue. 
16. Click Continue 
17. For this example, we are going to add another action so click on the + sign.
18. Click on Google Sheet
19. Then you would choose the event, which is Create a Row in Google Sheets
20. Click Continue
21. This will take you to the Account section to link your Google account.  If already there, you will be able to pick from the dropdown list.  If not, you will need to connect your account.
22. Click Continue
