4th September 2023 - This issue has now been fixed. We’ve also reviewed our backlog and pulled everything that Instagram’s API allows us to into UGC Studio.
Due to some changes in the way that Instagram publishes its links on its website, currently Instagram does not send back approval on links with additions when a user has agreed to the terms and conditions on a rights request via the Chrome Extension. To stress that this does not affect standard links with no additional ending. We are looking into this on our side and Instagram's side but in the meantime, to make sure that your content goes into UGC Studio when using the Chrome Extension, delete the ending of the Instagram link in the URL bar before sending a rights request.
For example, https://www.instagram.com/p/CvKPHdUsVcN/?img_index=1 needs to be https://www.instagram.com/p/CvKPHdUsVcN/ the URL bar before requesting.
Some of the additions you might see:
- ?img_index=1 - comes from a carousel or posts with multiple images or videos
- ?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== - comes from sharing a link with another person
- ?hl=fr - alternative language menu
- igshid=Y2I2MzMwZWM3ZA%3D%3D - comes from creating an IG Shortlink ID
